City Funds
Every sale puts money
back into your city.
When you sell on Wavedd, a slice of the platform commission goes into a fund for your city — spent by the local community on the things that keep underground music alive.

How it works
Automatic. No setup needed beyond having your city set in your store profile.
1
🎵
You sell something
A track, a loop, a piece of merch — anything sold on Wavedd counts. Nothing extra to do.
2
🏙️
Your city's pot grows
2% of Wavedd's commission from that sale goes into a pot for your city — not from your cut.
3
🗳️
The community decides
At the end of each quarter, people from that city vote on what to fund — events, studio time, gear, workshops.
4
💸
The money gets spent
The winning project gets funded. If a city's pot is under £200, it rolls into the next quarter.

Questions
Common questions
Does the city fund reduce how much I earn?
No. It comes from Wavedd's commission, not yours. On a £10 sale you receive £8.80 regardless — the 2% city allocation is taken from our 12%.
Do I need to do anything to participate?
Just make sure your city is set in your store address settings. Everything else is automatic — contributions are tracked and allocated on every completed order.
What if a city's pot doesn't reach £200?
It carries over into the next quarter. Nothing is lost — the pot just keeps growing until it hits the threshold. Smaller cities take longer but still build over time.
Who decides where the money goes?
Wavedd members from that city vote each quarter. Community members can also submit project proposals — the shortlist goes to a vote and the winner gets funded. More detail on the voting process will be published before the first payout.
